Choose by the first two nights

Podgorica is normally the practical gateway for the capital, Lake Skadar, Cetinje and northern routes. Tivat starts closer to Kotor Bay, Luštica and much of the coast. Your accommodation sequence matters more than a small airfare difference.

Realistic road ranges

Podgorica to Budva commonly needs 60–90 minutes; Tivat to Kotor about 15–30 minutes. Coastal queues, the Sozina Tunnel, cruise movements and summer roadworks can widen both ranges.

Rental handover differences

Both airports use a confirmed public meeting point subject to terminal rules. Supply the correct flight number and a reachable phone. Read the airport delivery process before booking.

A simple decision

Choose Podgorica Airport pickup for central or northern itineraries and Tivat Airport pickup for Kotor Bay. If you fly into one and out of the other, request a one-way rental.
